Nebraska Bird Partnership

The Steering Committee voted in September to officially change the name of our organization from the Nebraska Partnership for All-Bird Conservation to the Nebraska Bird Partnership.  While our bird conservation mission has not changed, the new streamlined name will contribute toward our success by being more memorable, marketable, and all around less of a mouthful.

Our organization has been a leader in bird conservation in the state since inception in 2002, and some of you that were around at the beginning remember that this is not the first name change for the organization.  We initially went under the moniker "Nebraska Alliance for All-Bird Conservation", but quickly changed it to the NPABC.

Nebraska Bird Partnership was selected over several other serious and not-so-serious alternatives, including "Nebraska Bird Alliance", the acronym of which may have been confused with a more famous "NBA".
