The Boy Scouts of America Cornhusker Coucil and the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department are heading up a monthlong program to recycle the telephone directory.

The recycled telephone directories will be converted into a material used for home insulation and mulch for new grass seeding.

April 24th recycling will begin at Belmont Rec Center from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm and May 1st at Irving Rec from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. The first 500 residents who recycle their old telephone directory will receive an eco-friendly shopping bag.
